We’re creating a documentary series that focus on several community run feasts in Italy called Le Sagre. We’re going to Umbria and Sardegna from August 28 to September 15, 2018
We are going to meet the communities and experience the process of throwing these festivals. We will spend our time at each sagra cooking with the volunteers and interviewing farmers, cooks, and the local community towns people.
We want to reshape the ideas that we as a culture have developed about eating. This is not about diet, we want to open peoples minds to new ways of experiencing food with others. A project which reflects the spirit of community, good food and love!
The project will provide awareness on the importance of the Sagre as a symbolic happening and a gentle reminder that the past which we abandon so quickly has lasting value.
